This book is a compilation of the papers presented at the national conference on Health and Social Work Practices: New Frontiers and Challenges organized by the Department of Social Work, Centre for Rural Development, Periyar Maniammai University, Vallam, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India. The conference aimed to provide a forum for government personnel, social workers, those working in the voluntary and corporate sectors, academics from allied disciplines and all those interested in working in the area of health, to come together and discuss ways for health promotion and better implementation of healthcare and welfare services.
