About the Book

This is a textbook based on lectures presented by the author for students specializing in nuclear engineering.

The book explains the theory of thermal electric power stations as applied to power plants using nuclear fuel. It covers the problems general for any thermal electric power station (conventional and nuclear) and specific, which are true for nuclear power plants only.

The textbook was awarded a State prize for 1971.

Primarily the textbook is for university students and postgraduates and also for engineers specializing in design start-up and operation of nuclear power stations. It will also be of interest to every electrical or mechanical engineer whose work is associated with nuclear power plants.
