Raghuvamsa-Kaladipasikha : Enjoying Ecstasy in Kalidasa's Raghuvamsa is a tender presentation by three sisters Prof. Sushma Kulshreshtha, Dr. Sumanlata Shrivastava and Prof. Abha Kulshreshtha to their Esteemed Guru Padmabhushan Prof. Satya Vrat Shastri, a great Doyen of Sanskrit, Indology and Sixty-four Arts, on the auspicious occasion of his 82nd birth anniversary on 29th September, 2012. Present volume, fifth in the series of Erotica Indica presents the first ever novel study of the sixty-four arts in the history of literary criticism and critical works in India and abroad accomplished with reference to the world-famous epic poem of Kalidasa namely, Raghuvamsa. The present work is divided into two stabakas :

Stabaka I : Visayavatarana : Sastric Study

Stabaka II : Sixty-four Arts in Raghuvamsa

The first stabaka deals with the Sastric and technical analysis of sixty-four arts as propounded by Sage Vatsyayana in his Kamasutra. These arts are considered as the angavidyas or the angabhutakalas of Kama, the art of enjoying love. The second stabaka presents the detailed analysis of 45 arts as found in Raghuvamsa citing and discussing at length numerous beautiful illustrations for the enjoyment of connoisseurs and Sanskrit lovers. In the end are appended Indices and detailed Bibliography.
